About Me

My name is Klara Hinson and I am currently a senior at the University of Kansas working to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications with a minor in Business. I started my college education majoring in Interior Architecture and Design, and while I loved this program, I quickly realized that it was not the right field for me. While in architecture courses, I took a class called “Professional Communications” that focused on branding and using design to communicate. I found this course so fascinating last year that I decided to change my major to Strategic Communications, knowing that I could use this to pursue a career in fashion, my truest passion. Since then, my classes have focused on media and design in journalism. I feel that I have accumulated numerous skills through the courses I have taken thus far in my college career that I believe will take me far. These skills include proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs such as InDesign, photoshop, and Illustrator. Outside of school I enjoy traveling, trying new things, and spending time with friends and family!
