My Is Alex Smith-Mendez, and I’m 19 years old. I’m a first-generation college student at the University of Kansas. As I’ve grown up, my family has had to move around a lot, eventually settling down in a small town called Basehor KS. Although I am not used to small towns, it’s the place I’ve called home for over 5 years now. I have 4 other siblings, and in order it goes… Jobie (30), Julian (28), me (19), Xavier (19), and my half-brother Jhonny (12).

I have been fortunate to travel many places with my family through out my life. Typically my family and I travel south, to countries like mexico and recently Puerto Rico and Peru. While in Peru, my family and I climbed/hiked up the Inca trail that runs through out the Andes Mountains.

It offered quite a bit of breathtaking views, and I have attatched some of the photos from the trail below. I firmly believe that if you are physicaly and finacialy able, Hiking the Inca Trail is something everyone should do at least once in their lives.
